What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
When I started the journey of writing this book, I knew that nature was going to be an essential character. I live in the city now but grew up in a small country town, and part of me yearned for fragrant forests, crystalline waters, and the feel of weather uninhibited. Surrounded by the bustle of people, I also desired a bit of quiet, so isolation would also be a key factor. My previous works have been character-rich and research-heavy. I wanted Island of Stone to be more straightforward with fewer moving parts. There would be few characters, with the lead being a tortured soul. What better way to do that then to make Trevor Benton grieving the death of his wife.
The main ingredients were there- a sad man, alone on an isolated island deep in the wilderness. I could have kept it at that, exploring the realms of grief and isolation, but I am not comfortable in the confines of pure literary fiction. I love fantasy, mystery, and the paranormal just too much not to add that spice, so that flavor is certainly there.
Island of Stone will be the first book in a series. The next installment is in the works and will be available soon.
Falling in love was not on her to-do list.

Season Scrimshaw isn’t selling the land her parents left her when they died, not even to the gorgeous Rann Brogan who saved her life in the forest. Especially not after she finds out he was in the woods surveying her property.

She sends Rann on a mission to seal the deal. To say Rann and his mother have had a normal mother/son relationship would be a stretch…a big stretch, but he’s always done her bidding.
This time it’s different. Rann hasn’t been able to get the beautiful Season out of his mind. While on his mission to secure the property, he realizes how much Season loves the land, and…he realizes somewhere along the line, Season has stolen his heart.
He discovers his mother will go to any length to get what she wants…including murder. Lives spiral out of control, secrets and lies take center stage. Rann is forced to choose between his mother and the woman he loves.

Louise Moscow hops from one undercover assignment to another, aided by both a curiosity about how the world works and a determination to make it work for her. Equal parts scholar and sensualist, she will find out the answer but enjoy herself while doing so. One moment she’s deploying her brand of “forensic accounting” to uncover some obscure financial information that may blow up the case; the next she’s swooning over the complex “barnyard smells” of a particular Burgundy. Evanoff is clearly besotted with French history and effectively blends it with her heroine’s struggles against uncooperative witnesses, a mysterious vine disease, a gun-wielding monk, and a secret society. Moscow glides through it all with a James Bondian flair. Able to handle a high-powered speedboat, an ex-lover, or a ginger-haired villain with equal ease, this international spy is a protagonist you’ll want to follow.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Before I even began writing PINOT NOIR, I had already decided to make Book Two a fictionalized version of the real-life ‘bankers grave’ scandal, the un-solved murder of billionaire Edmund J. Safra. My mother suggested the title during an event associated with my first novel, FOLIAGE. It stuck with me, and I began my research of Pinot Noir wine, which pointed to the Burgundy region of France. What shocked me was the real-life crimes of the region I discovered, which were linked to high level public officials leading all the way to the capital of the European Union, Brussels, Belgium.
