What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I love history so I weave real people and events into the mystery. At the end of the mystery, I have placed an addendum giving more historical information. I think the 1930s were so fascinating. That's the decade where things were happening like women throwing off their apron strings and taking their place in the world. There was also great poverty, labor strikes, and political upheaval due to the Great Depression, as well as glamour, beautiful clothes, and snazzy cars. It was a decade of contradictions. So join Mona Moon for murder and mayhem reading fun as she solves a mystery out in the great West!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I adore the golden age mysteries and wanted to try to my hand at them. The original Mona Moon series was to be a trilogy, but Mona became so popular, I just kept writing. Mona inherits her estranged uncle's wealth and goes to live on a horse farm in the Kentucky Bluegrass. There she meets Lord Farley and the sparks fly. The original Mona Moon series was to be a trilogy, but Mona became so popular, I just kept writing. I hope you enjoy my sassy heroine as much as I love writing for her.
